Remove the outer papery layers. Slice off the top of the bulb to expose the tops of the cloves.
Drizzle olive oil over the top of the exposed cloves, letting it seep into each one. Wrap tightly in foil.
Bake for 35-45 minutes until the garlic is soft and golden brown.
Once it’s cool, gently squeeze each clove to release the roasted garlic.

Storage Instructions
In the fridge: Place the roasted garlic cloves in an airtight container. Cover them with olive oil to keep them moist, and they’ll stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
In the freezer: Spread the roasted cloves on a baking sheet and freeze them individually. Once frozen, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag or container. They’ll keep for up to 3 months in the freezer, and you can pop a clove out whenever you need it.
